It's not everyday that you get to see students caught by a teacher stealing food. Two students were seen stealing chicken wraps at the school canteen on the 5th of March. Onlookers were shocked and delighted at the same time when Mr. Weaver’s long arms reached out and snatched the wraps out of the 8th graders hands. That day, the 2 boys were hoping for a free meal ticket for not paying for their lunch but the only result of that was suspension.
Both of them wanted to seem like icons of rebellion to everyone else. Both of them didn’t want to waste $3.50 paying for their lunch. Both of them thought that they could get away with theft. But what both of them didn’t foresee was the suspension they were both going to receive that day.
A simple Thursday lunch at the UWC canteen turned into an unpredicted mess where everyone was trying to get a better look at what was happening. Witnesses saw the situation go from bad to worse as the students denied their theft. “No I already paid for this.” the boys claimed but everyone knew the truth. The boys were pulled out of the canteen like dogs on leashes. None of the 2 boys would be seen to be stealing food again.
